Our Five Steps.

Through consultation, site visits, and analysis, we create a written brief capturing your objectives and aspirations. This is translated into initial concept designs, which are tested and refined in collaboration with you. Open reviews with our full team ensure each idea is challenged and improved.
Sustainability begins here - considering site orientation, natural light, ventilation, and passive solar principles from the earliest stages.

Once the design is confirmed and approvals are in place, we resolve the technical details: structure, services, safety, and construction methods. For larger projects, this includes collaboration with specialist consultants.
This stage covers:
Ground conditions and foundations
Power, water, and drainage services
Construction techniques and materials
Access, fire, and safety requirements
Cost planning
Here, sustainability is central. We select materials with low environmental impact, reduce energy demand through design, plan for water efficiency, and consider long-term adaptability.

All design decisions are documented in precise drawings and specifications. These form the basis for tenders, building permits, and construction.
Comprehensive documentation ensures like-for-like pricing between tenderers, reduces uncertainty, and prevents costly variations during the build. Sustainability requirements - such as passive cooling, recycled materials, or ethical sourcing - are embedded here, making them an integral part of the construction process.

Tendering secures the contractor who will bring your project to life. We prepare and distribute tender packages, manage the process confidentially, and provide recommendations based on pricing and suitability.
Once selected, we prepare the formal contract between client and builder. MCG uses trusted industry-standard contracts, ensuring a fair and transparent framework for delivery. Sustainability specifications included in the documentation remain part of the contract, guaranteeing they are carried through into construction.

With contracts signed and permits in place, construction begins under our administration. We act in three roles:
Administrator – ensuring the works follow the documentation and schedule
Certifier – approving changes, payments, and variations fairly
Agent – representing your interests on site while maintaining balance
We carry out regular inspections, chair site meetings, and coordinate with consultants to maintain quality and progress.
At completion, we certify practical completion and ensure any defects are rectified. During the defects liability period, we continue to monitor performance, ensuring sustainability measures - such as energy systems and water harvesting - operate as intended.
