Social Commitment
From the very beginning, MCG Architects has been guided by a strong sense of social responsibility and a belief in the power of architecture to support and uplift communities. We recognise that with our professional skills comes an opportunity, and an obligation, to contribute meaningfully where we can.
Our commitment to “giving back” is woven into the culture of our practice. Over the years, we’ve supported local, regional and international communities in a variety of ways, including:
Serving as volunteer members on community committees, boards and reference groups
Providing pro-bono architectural services, including through Architects Without Frontiers
Offering direct pro-bono support to an Indian orphanage following the 2004 tsunami
Hosting and mentoring work experience students from schools, TAFE and universities
Delivering at-cost or pro-bono services for numerous regional and remote emergency service facilities
This ongoing commitment reflects who we are, a practice dedicated not only to design excellence, but to making a positive and lasting difference.
